Day 12: Your Favourite Childhood Book

The book I read over and over again when I was younger was The Suitcase Kid by Jacqueline Wilson.

I had all of Jacqueline Wilson’s books and I still do but this one was my favourite. I read it so much that the cover and spine began to break. I remember when I finished reading it I would go back to the beginning and start all over again because I loved it that much. I tried to find my copy to show how well-read it is but it must have been put away with my other childhood books.

I always loved to read when I was younger so it was really hard to pinpoint which book I would say was my favourite. I loved the Harry Potter series, especially the earlier ones when I was young, and they too have worn covers and spines. I also loved Jean Ure’s books and the Animal Ark series as well.

I’ve had the same bookcase from when I was a child and it was filled to the brim with books, to the point where the shelves are weak and the doors are busted. Even now, with the majority of my childhood books up in the attic at my parent’s house, I have books piled up and hardly any space for them.
