For a little while now, I’ve been thinking about moving to animal cruelty-free products.
These are the beauty products I’ve been using every day before I looked into whether they were cruelty-free and it turns out most of them are not.
The products featured in the picture above are:
- Garnier: Shampoo and Conditioner
- Nivea: Shower Gel
- Skin System: Makeup Wipes
- Impulse: Body Spray
- Soft and Gentle: Deodorant
- VO5: Heat Protection Spray
- The Body Shop: Eye Concealer and Face Wash
- Rimmel London: Powder, Eyeliner and Mascara
- Cuticura: Moisturiser
- Pure Colour: Lipstick Crayon
Out of all the products I use every day, the only products that are not in the Name and Shame table or on the website crueltyfreeinternational.org for companies who test on animals are products from The Body Shop. I don’t know about you but I think this is ridiculously shocking, I wasn’t expecting this at all.
If we all attempt to go cruelty-free for at least a month, this would send a huge message to companies who still test on animals.
I’m aiming to go shopping next week and will hopefully have a whole range of new products to show off! I’m using both Cruelty Free Kitty’s website and Pinterest board as well as Cruelty Free International to find cruelty free products! I’ve also found out that products that have the Leaping Bunny logo on the packaging are cruelty-free as well.
So this is me, going cruelty-free and forever ensuring that I do my research on products before I buy them!
Watch out for my next post on what cruelty-free products I have purchased!
